For a science fair project, Jeremy wanted to design an experiment to measure the effects of different types of distractions on a person’s reaction time. In order to accurately measure the time required to respond to a stimulus, two PIC based devices were built that could measure reaction time to 1/1000 of a second. This article will present a clean and easy to build reaction time meter using commonly available components. As a bonus, Jeremy will present the results of his research.
